2016: A Year In Science Before It Happens

In another infographic, together with European Science Writer of the Year 2015, Tanja Rudez, we take a quick look at the near future and what scientific programs we can expect in 2016. Funny enough, in the last 60 years, we invented and built all that is miraculous in the modern world, and it took the same length of time to put a woman in charge of a nuclear research organization. Flying to the moon is no longer an issue; we’re definitely playing among the stars, and maybe, we will eventually find out what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars. We’ll keep trying to spot the aliens, but if that doesn’t happen, we can still enjoy Mercury’s transit across the Sun. Back on Earth, we hope to find the Ebola vaccine so we can sit and enjoy our healthy plate of beans. 2016, here we come!
